PERSONAL ARCHIVES
This section will display participants' personal archives. These digital archives will show their fragrance preferences and their stories. In addition, it will also present what they think about fragrances in everyday life, including the meaning of scents and the mechanisms they operate. It concludes by showing the participants' overall impressions of London and ends with a diary about life in London and the olfaction.
Liu
Fragrance preferences-
cool colours, crispy, distancing scents
Examples- incense
woody florals
those have musky end notes
fragrances that blend well with the skin
The function or meaning of perfume-
'OWN'
Create your atmosphere to reinforce your style and create a "taste of you" and a sense of personal presence
'LIFESTYLE'
create a sense of pleasure or scent to reinforce and preserve the memory of a scene (watching a particular anime - precious memories don't dare to use it easily - afraid of the label being overwritten)
Overall impression of London-
mossy woody notes with sandalwood and benzoin
Unlike a short stay in a city, which can be easily labelled, now that more than six months have passed, it is somewhat more challenging to describe the impressions of London that I have been living in for some time. When I travel, my impressions of a city are often the smell of dry airport air and the scent of hotel lobbies. But in a city where I've been in for almost a year, the traces of my everyday life have made up for my impressions.
The sweet scent of the supermarket's bakery mixed with butter and caramel in, the smell of cold, damp raw meat in the fresh produce section of the supermarket, and the scent of ancient fibres coming from the wooden staircase of the school. Instead, there is no way to describe a specific smell.

The function or meaning of perfume-
‘A consumable item’
Like wearing clothes, wearing perfume is an everyday necessity.
‘Personality expression, conveying emotions’
My favourite citrus notes reflect in some ways my personality, an outgoing or emotionally outgoing expression
‘A memory repository’
Overall impression of London-
Free, colorful and romantic
London has almost everything, material and spiritual, and without a sense of conflict, coexisting well with each other
London has always had a very liberal vibe. It is tolerant and seems to give you enough space to reinvent yourself; even if your childhood dreams have been erased, it is possible to 'revive' them here. London is also very romantic; what impressed me most was the road in front of Tate Modern, where I loved to wander. Especially in spring and summer, the evening sun was romantic, the evening breeze was romantic, the guitarists on the roadside were romantic, and the people talking freely with glasses of wine by the river were romantic ......
Such London is covered in my memory by the memory of the smell of two high moments. As well as boating in Hyde Park and smelling nettles and grass, the other element is refreshing berries I encounter at the spitalfield market at weekends which mixed with the weekend morning air, a feeling of being lit up, very fresh, but at the same time the smell is very subtle.
Yao
Fragrance preferences-
I often choose something strange, characterful and cool; I also use fruity perfumes to show a friend a kindness.
Examples- Jasmin Angelique by Colognes Absolue
ARANCIA DI CAPRI by Acqua di Parma
The function or meaning of perfume-
'Protect yourself, Increase your courage
and Express yourself'
I often smell cool and give off an aura of being a stranger. I think socially phobic people fit well into this category of scent. The purpose of this scent is to express yourself; choosing to be distant or intimate is someone else's business.
‘Adds a sense of familiarity and a link to the past in London life'
The Avestan I bought in London reminded me of my high school teacher, Jaffen, and the drawing-room where I trained daily, and that's where my love of fragrance began.
Overall impression of London-
The only thing that struck me about London was the cloudy weather and the memory of that I went to Sainsbury's with a Marks and Spencer shopping bag against the light. The bag was bulging as the air filled it. Today Wei did the same thing with me, an act he calls "catching the wind".
